Come work as a Family Physician – Emergency with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

 

Bella Bella is a beautiful island community off the central coast of BC, 690km north of Vancouver, surrounded by a magical world of channels, inlets and old growth forest.

 

The hospital, overlooking the ocean, is in the center of this rural and remote community and is a focal point for community life in many ways. Working here will give you a real sense of the richness of aboriginal culture in its home environment.

 

As A Family Physician – Emergency with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  • Provide regular clinic, emergency and inpatient care under one roof to a primarily First Nations, Heiltsuk Nation community of approximately 1500 people.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Advanced Trauma life Support (ATLS)
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP)
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Emergency Experience
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • If any of the certifications have expired, CARE certification can replace the expired certification.
