Come work as a Primary Care Obstetrical Provider with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

 

Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary perinatal service in beautiful Powell River, BC. We are seeking a general practitioner with particular interest and skillset in full scope primary obstetrical care. This urgent locum coverage has the opportunity to transition to a permanent position.

 

qathet General Hospital is developing a new and exciting full service perinatal program with the local support and collaboration of our obstetrician/gynecologist, family doctors, midwifery, nursing, and lactation consultation. Come be a part of this important, exciting work which is integral to optimizing and retaining rural perinatal services!

 

Although the expectation would be provision of primary obstetrical care, there is also the option to combine this work with general fee for service family practice/hospitalist work in one of the community clinics and in hospital.

 

Powell River is a Sunshine Coast community, accessible from the Lower Mainland by both ferry and air travel. Boasting unparalleled natural beauty and a temperate climate, Powell River is a nature adventurers dream.

 

Qualifications

 

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Provisional
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
  • Obstetric Experience
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)
