Come work as a Clinical Associate with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Join our team at Vancouver General Hospital as an ICU Clinical Associate.


In our multidisciplinary ICU and HAU, 15 intensivists staff 45 beds and provide services to adult patients from all programs including general medical and surgical, cardiovascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, solid organ and bone marrow transplantation, trauma and burns.

 

Under the direct supervision of the on-call Critical Care Physician, you will work alongside residents-in-training and provide medical services to critically ill ICU patients. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the extensive medical and allied professional education activities.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

 

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) Eligible – Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
  • Anesthesia Experience – Desired
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) – Desired
  • Emergency Experience – Desired
  • Surgical Skills – Desired
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Provisional
  • Canadians/Permanent Residents who are foreign trained and international applicants are welcome to apply. For those who have received training or are working in another country recognized by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for your Provisional Licensure while you work towards your full licensure in Canada.

As per the current Public Health Orders, as of October 5, 2023, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or have received a single dose of the most-recent, updated COVID-19 vaccine. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
