Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience 

Licensing: 

  • Full or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC) 

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) 

Professional Affiliation: 

  • Certification or eligibility for certification by the Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) or Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) 

Experience: 

  • Medical leadership in a healthcare organization. 
  • 3+ years in independent clinical practice 

 

Knowledge & Abilities: 

  • Culturally Competent: Awareness and understanding of diverse cultural beliefs and practices. 
  • Communicative Excellence: Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. 
  • Conflict Resolution: Expertise in managing complex service delivery challenges. 
  • Strategic Thinking: Systematic and critical approach to problem-solving and process implementation. 
  • Inspirational Leadership: Motivate and align team goals with organizational strategies. 
  • Decision-Making: Effective consultative skills within medical by-laws for efficient care delivery. 
  • Fiscal Management: Overseeing physician billings and managing program budgets. 
  • Quality Improvement: Commitment to enhancing service delivery and client care.
