    We are looking for Program Manager, Bella Bella reporting to the Director, Clinical Operations/Client Relations.

     

    The role:

    This is an amazing opportunity to make an impact in the delivery of care on British Columbia’s central coast while living in one of the country’s most beautiful locations. As Program Manager you will provide operational oversight of interdisciplinary clinical services (acute, community, residential) across the hospital site to ensure the highest quality of care. With a large First Nations population, you will bring your understanding of and promote cultural competence. Recognizing the diversity of the surrounding area will greatly impact your success in this role. On any given day you will be required to wear several different hats as this is a remote hospital where everyone must work together across departments and with the community.

Home of the salmon, the whale and the bald eagle, Bella Bella is island community on the beautiful BC “Inside Passage,” set in the rain forest at the edge of the ocean. The climate is mild and the area is a paradise for kayaking, sport fishing, hiking and photography.

     

    Bella Bella is a beautiful island community off the central coast of British Columbia, 690 km north of Vancouver. It is surrounded by a magical world of channels, inlets and old growth forest. It is home to salmon, orcas, humpbacks, bald eagles and the other denizens of the Pacific Northwest.

     

    Life in Bella Bella is defined by its physical geography and population of about 1500 people. Bella Bella is home to the proud and progressive First Nation community of the Heiltsuk Nation.
