The Adult Day Program provides a range of health, personal, social and therapeutic recreation services and activities in a safe and caring environment. It is a supportive community program for seniors and people with varying abilities to help them remain at home and provides respite for caregivers.
Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Program Worker works in cooperation with multi-disciplinary team members to carry out established recreation and activity programs.
Responsibilities include organizing activities, operating small van/car (up to 10 persons including the driver) to transport clients, accompanying clients on outings and demonstrating and teaching activity techniques. Reports relevant observations of client progress and behaviours to the Therapist and/or other healthcare staff, provides direction to volunteers, organizes equipment and supplies for activities, ensures a safe work environment and maintains an established inventory of supplies.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
