Salary: $22.23 per hour
Hours:Various day, evening and weekend shifts as operatiional required, shifts as scheduled

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Patient Booking Clerk/Unit Clerk, for Ambulatory Care works under general supervision to assist clinic staff in the operation of the clinics by booking patients for medical/surgical procedures, performs a variety of nursing unit clerk duties and other duties as required.


Education & Experience

  • Grade 12.
  • Graduation from a recognized nursing unit clerk program.
  • Two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to type 50 wpm.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
