Job Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Strategy Deployment, you will be responsible for the management and administration of all service contracts for the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Coastal Community of Care (CoC).  

 

You will manage multi-million dollar contracts across the Mental Health Housing, Group Home, Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) beds and Residential Services portfolios and will develop, implement, monitor and make recommendations for mitigation of variances in service delivery and funding of all CoC contracted service partners.

You will provide leadership in the delivery of client care with a focus on coordination and integration of contracted services across the CoC and will partners with VCH Business Initiatives and Support Services (BISS), VCH and CoC Financial Planning, and VCH Legal to ensure negotiated financial and service arrangements are in line with organizational standards, practices, guidelines and budgetary constraints.

 

As the Manager, Contracts and Performance you'll lead or participates in identified contract management projects, propose new initiatives, liaise with other VCH programs and manage stakeholder engagement, communications and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications and Expertise:

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, supplemented by seven to ten (7 to 10) years’ recent, related experience managing clinical services contracts or a combination of education, training and experience. Formal Project Management training is an asset.

 

Expertise:

 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract management, and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contract law, bid processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Extensive experience in effectively and successfully managing service provider relationships.
  • Extensive experience in managing projects to achieve results.
  • Broad knowledge of the BC Health Care Industry environment.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills to foster a respectful and motivating environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
