Practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as within a client and family centred care model and the vision and values of the department across the Lower Mainland Medical Imaging (LMMI), including (Fraser Health Authority, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health). Position performs client registration and check in, places appointment reminder calls to clients, relays pre-test preparation information to clients, and may reschedule and/or book client appointments as required. Assists Technologists with positioning and lifting clients as directed and/or escorting patients to and from exam room. Monitors and replenishes department inventories and ensures core supply levels are maintained, performs cleaning and tidying functions of the area, performs clerical functions, and acts as receptionist to support the delivery of client care to ensure client/family needs are met above all other concerns.

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 plus two year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
