Join VCH’s innovative Transformation Team of experienced advisors, leaders, and directors from clinical and corporate backgrounds that champion and lead health-care system-wide transformation initiatives that cross VCH. The Transformation team acts as a central hub for internal teams and external partners, supporting strategy, innovation, planetary health, and culture initiatives, as well as leading urgent or special projects requested by the CEO, Senior Executive Team, Board, or Ministry of Health.
As a Leader of the Caring for Managers program, this role contributes to a well-established, peer mentorship model as imagined by managers and delivered by the diverse manager team since the program’s inception. You will bring your lived leadership experience as a clinical manager—to support managers in their day to day challenges. This role spans strategic thinking, relationship building, and organizational change enablement. You’ll identify collaboration opportunities, anticipate risks, and serve as a trusted mentor who models diplomacy, kindness, empathy, creativity, problem-solving, and exceptional facilitation and communication skills. This position offers the chance to directly support managers while gaining a VCH wide, strategic vantage point—helping shape the future of the VCH manager experience and the environment in which leaders thrive.

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
