About the The Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) Project

 

The Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) Project is one of the largest health care projects in British Columbia's history. It is a joint undertaking between Vancouver Coastal Health, the Provincial Health Services Authority and Providence Health Care to complete a significant transformation of clinical practices and systems. This is an exciting initiative that will deliver key benefits for our patients, health care providers and health organizations.

 

As a Business Analyst to Executive Director (Staff Scheduler) with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Reporting to the CST Director, Human Resources.
  • Provide project support, coordination of recruiting activities and processes across the three health organizations, and analysis of human resources information for the Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) project.
  • Analyze information, prepare and compile reports and technical documents, and develop and generate complex queries for the Director.
  • Utilize reporting and presentation software and tools to support business planning, decision-making and performance management.
  • Support the recruitment processes for new staff and physicians at various stages of the project, matching skills required with candidates, and organizes staff exit back to their home health organization and end of term.
  • Collaborate with the cross health organization Human Resources Task group and other similar or related groups on establishing and improving workflow processes, ongoing project tracking, and problem solving, and indicator development for performance measurement and monitoring.
  • Work independently and interfaces with CST leadership and project team members, health organization Directors, Managers, Coordinators, and with vendor partners in support of the Executive Director’s office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education & Experience

  • Degree in a related field supplemented with human resource and project management courses.
  • Three (3) years’ recent, related experience in a complex health care environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience with supporting staffing and timekeeping processes preferred.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Employs advanced expertise in the use of current computer applications to create and maintain a variety of databases, documents and presentations.
  • Uses strong analytical, research and financial abilities to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrated experience in information analysis, research, and benchmarking activities.
  • Applies exceptional coordination and problem-solving abilities to independently resolve issues and overcome obstacles.
  • Effectively utilizes both verbal and written communication skills when providing advice and information and/or seeking/acquiring information.
  • ptimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success by applying excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments and schedule activities.
  • Practices diligence and care when maintaining, monitoring, calculating and summarizing data, records and confidential information.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
