Salary: $33.29 - $41.61 per hour

0830-1630; 24 hour support, weekends, and on-call shifts as operationally required

As a Content Developer and Facilitator with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Ensure Clinical Process is the foundation for all design of the Clinical & Systems Transformation project (CST) across all associated sites within Providence Health Care (PHC), Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in collaboration with the Service Provider with the goal of improving clinical workflows and care for patients.
  • In alignment with health care’s 24/7 operating environment, support the adoption of new systems and technologies by providing clinical information systems (CIS) education, facilitation and instruction, including group and individual learning opportunities, as well as respond to staff, clinician and provider calls and resolve any user or system queries or issues.

The Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) Project is one of the largest health care projects in British Columbia's history. It is a joint undertaking between Vancouver Coastal Health, the Provincial Health Services Authority and Providence Health Care to complete a significant transformation of clinical practices and systems. This is an exciting initiative that will deliver key benefits for our patients, health care providers and health organizations.



Education & Experience

  • Current Certification with the CAMRT.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ recent, related Medical Imaging/Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, supplemented with recent, related facilitation experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Valid BC Driver's License as travel requires the use of a vehicle. Travel outside of existing geographic area and/or overnight travel may be required, and will be compensated in accordance with applicable collective agreement language.

  • CST Cerner and Informatics experience preferred

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Broad knowledge of the applicable standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate, engage and lead in a classroom setting.
  • Demonstrated experience with learner assessment and providing feedback.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with current computer applications and equipment as well as ability to effectively use a computerized client care information system.
  • Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking in approach to teaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop educational materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, either one-on-one and/or in-groups, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and work direction.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills as well as demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with and/or guide others in resolution of conflict issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a creative learning environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to represent your clinical specialty and across the continuum of care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical practice and work flows in other health care settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workflows in own clinical area and others.
  • Proven ability to engage and coordinate activities within a work setting.
  • Proven ability to generate required outcomes from initiatives with specific purpose.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Lean or related process improvement principles.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
