As a Facilities Asset Information Manager with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Report to the Director, Facilities Infrastructure & Risk.
  • Be responsible for providing leadership asset management and risk management of facilities infrastructure; the development of asset management strategies.
  • Ensure data integrity of physical asset information to inform asset management decisions such as capital investment/replacement, operation and maintenance; and life cycle value realization across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).
  • Manage hazardous materials assessment and abatement program, seismic program, and asset management projects and initiatives across the organization.
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators and generates related reports utilizing asset information extracted from existing databases (such as VFA).
  • Provide analysis and recommendations to the Director for further action.




Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Formal training in capital renewal project planning.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ recent related experience, including three (3) years' recent, related experience in a supervisory capacity in a large maintenance environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities


  • Demonstrated working knowledge of building systems, operations and maintenance practices in a complex, multi-site health care environment.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of appropriate legislation, relevant laws and by-laws, and provincial/national standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tendering, procurement and business case development processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Proven initiative, judgment, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to take action in a crisis management environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use applicable software applications (VFA database, PowerPoint, MS Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coach team members.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
