The Vancouver General Hospital Division of Respiratory Medicine is seeking an Interventional Respirologist to join our collegial Respirology group at Vancouver General Hospital.
Our collaborative team of interventional pulmonologists at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), BC Cancer Vancouver (BCCA) and St Paul’s Hospital (SPH) offers rapid access to the diagnostic workup and endobronchial and pleural therapy for patients with known or suspected lung cancer.
The successful candidate will provide interventional pulmonology services within Vancouver General Hospital and support colleagues at BCCA and SPH when required. The role will require participation in the General Respirology ward and consult service, including the provision of on-call coverage and outpatient follow up of patients as necessary. Outpatient clinic space is available in the Centre for Lung Health Clinic adjacent to the hospital.
The VGH Respirology Division includes strong subspecialty and research expertise in Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Diseases, Non-Tuberculous Mycobacterial infections, Airways Disease and Asthma, Sleep Medicine, and Neuromuscular Disorders. We are a teaching program within the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and have a highly respected General Respirology postgraduate training program.
Vancouver General is the largest hospital in British Columbia and provides tertiary care within the community as well as province-wide specialized programs including Pulmonary Hypertension, Lung Transplantation (also kidney, liver and pancreas transplant), Bone Marrow Transplant and Spine injury. VGH has a full Thoracic Surgery Division, with whom we work closely.
