Come work as a Medicine + Emergency Locum Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
We are inviting physicians to join our Bella Coola team — one of the most rewarding, community-oriented practice settings within Vancouver Coastal Health Coastal Community of Care.
Enjoy a true full-scope practice (inpatient, emergency, and primary care) within a supportive, collegial team and a 1:3 or 1:4 –call rotation.
Scheduling: Minimum 1-week locum (Monday–Sunday) with arrival the day prior. Our streamlined scheduling model ensures balanced workload, flexibility, and strong on-site support.

Education, Licensing, & Experience:
o Full or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)
o Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
o Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
o Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
o Emergency medicine experience
o Certification or eligibility for certification by the Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) is desired
If you are new to the site, one of the local physicians will provide you with an orientation to ensure you feel prepared, set up, and aware of all supports available to you.
