Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST), the Advisor provides HR services to CST project office leaders and staff. This position partners with human resources leaders and staff of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Providence Health Care (PHC) to ensure CST leaders and staff have timely and consistent HR services including recruitment, labour and employee relations and compensation and classification. With a customer service focus, the Advisor provides advice and consultation to CST leaders and staff on human resources processes and policies. The position gathers information and coordinates decision making between the members of the HR Working Groups or other similar health organization decision makers and translates these decisions into practice for use by CST project HR staff and CST leaders. This position works independently and interfaces with CST leadership up to and including the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO), project team members, health organization directors, managers and advisors and with vendor partners in supporting the CST HR function. In addition, this position is responsible for providing work direction and guidance to the CST HR Coordinators and Assistants and representing the Director of Human Resources when needed.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
