The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) is actively recruiting a full-time Obstetrician/Gynecologist. This position offers a negotiable start date, though a prompt start is preferred. To maintain essential patient coverage, this role includes a 1-in-8 on-call commitment. We seek a highly competent professional who excels in general obstetrics and gynecology within a high-volume acute-care environment. Our busy unit performs approximately 1,600 deliveries per year, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment.
The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in an acute-care setting, expertise in caring for a diverse patient population, and must demonstrate exceptional professional standards and strong clinical skills. The Ob/Gyn Department is proudly affiliated with the University of British Columbia (UBC), where members hold Clinical Faculty appointments and actively engage in medical student and resident education.
Lions Gate Hospital is a recognized trauma centre and a key acute care provider serving a population exceeding 270,000 residents across the North Shore, Sea-to-Sky Country, and beyond. Our comprehensive facilities, including the state-of-the-art Paul Myers Tower with 108 private patient rooms and eight new operating rooms, ensure LGH remains at the forefront of healthcare delivery in the Vancouver Coastal Health region.
