Come work as a General Practitioner Oncologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Squamish General Hospital is looking for a dedicated part-time GP-Oncologist to join our collaborative team.
As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with medical oncologists, other specialists, nurses, and clerical staff. Your responsibilities will include ambulatory care for patients undergoing therapy and those in follow-up, as well as supporting inpatient care. This involves reviewing and writing chemotherapy orders and managing patients with adverse reactions or treatment-related side effects.
Our local oncology clinic is conveniently located within the hospital, requiring hospital privileges. You'll benefit from existing MOA and oncology nursing support, and dedicated office space for patient reviews.
Squamish General Hospital is a 25-bed acute care facility offering medical/surgical services, supported by comprehensive diagnostic laboratory and imaging departments, as well as physiotherapy and social work services. We provide emergency, ambulatory, inpatient, maternity, anesthetic, and general surgery care. Our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) serves two busy operating rooms, with surgical services including general surgery, gynecology, endoscopy, plastics, orthopedic, ENT, dental, and urology.
