Come work as a Surgical Assistant with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Opportunity to join the RHS On-call Surgical Assistant roster who assist for emergency surgeries at Richmond Hospital.
Richmond Hospital is a fully accredited, 228 acute care bed facility serving a local population of 200,000 with an additional catchment area of almost 120,000. Richmond Hospital is focused on meeting the needs of the people it serves and is seeking Physicians interested in doing Surgical Assists in the Operating Room to provide services to acute emergency surgery services. The successful applicant will become a member of the Emergency Slate On Call Group for Surgical Assistants within the Department of Family Medicine or Department of Surgery (if not a family physician) and will be required to participate in a call rota. Further opportunities will may be possible for Elective Slated surgeries in the future.
Qualified individuals are required to meet the minimum call demands and participate in orientation and shadow a current on-call surgical assist, or designate, during the orientation process.
