Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Talent Acquisition Representative to join the Executive & Medical Staff Talent Acquisition team.
This a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to grow your HR career in a large complex organization. In this role, you will work closely with medical leaders to attract qualified health care providers to our organization, while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

 

As a Talent Acquisition Representative with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Advisors to create external postings for Medical Staff job postings and manage postings throughout recruitment process from creation to file closure post-hire. Ensure consistent look and format for postings within the VCH brand.
  • Track all vacancies and manage external postings to ensure that they align with the current vacancies. Ensuring the integrity of external recruitment hire data.
  • Act as a coordinator, providing support for full cycle recruitment.
  • Provide guidance and advice to Medical Leaders regarding recruitment services.
  • Act as systems expert and provide a high level of recruitment technology knowledge and expertise to support current and future technology solutions. Act as a “super user” for recruitment systems technology and triages and resolves system and process issues.
  • Support the development, evaluation and improvement of recruitment practices and services.
  • Provide support to the team in the auditing, tracking and submitting relocation expenses for new medical staff.
  • Actively participate in team and inter-team meetings and dialogue, build respectful relationships with peers that enable the sharing of knowledge and information and encourage collaboration on relevant issues.
  • Provide support and training on departmental databases and related Recruitment technologies to the Team and medical leaders as required.
  • Create, produce, and analyze reports on various processes.
  • Monitors general recruitment inboxes and prioritizes information, screen, triage and act upon requests and inquiries, including confidential and sensitive information.
  • Communicate with other organizations and agencies when conducting reference checks.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Completion of a recognized diploma in Human Resources Management and two (2) years of related experience in a large and complex organization, or a combination of education, training and experience.
  • Advanced computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database programs, e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Visio is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to all internal and external partners. Ability to relay technical information in a manner that can be understood by various audiences.
  • Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.

  • Applies excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete assignments in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and relevant software applications including online recruitment/human resource systems, and current office software.
  • Exhibits thoroughness when maintaining, monitoring, calculating and summarizing data, records and other information.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Closing Statement

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks. For all new hires and appointments to Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be asked to provide this information as part of the onboarding process.
