Come work as Medical Coordinator with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Primary Care is seeking qualified Family Physicians and/or Nurse Practitioners to work as Medical Coordinator(s), providing leadership to our clinical team(s) in delivering exceptional primary care to the Vancouver Community.  Reporting to the Medical Director for Primary Care at VCH – Vancouver Community, the Medical Coordinator provides clinical leadership for the site Primary Care team in close collaboration with the Primary Care Operations Manager and other members of the clinic leadership team. The Medical Coordinator will work as a dyad partner with the Operations manager in providing this medical and operational leadership. 

 

Please note: This is a Part Time appointment of 0.2 FTE dedicated to leadership. Medical Coordinators will generally also be expected to provide direct clinical care at the site, separate from the leadership position. We also welcome new leaders to apply.

 

The current Vancouver Community Primary Care clinics needing a Medical Coordinator are:

- Three Bridges Community Health Centre

- Downtown Community Health Centre

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • For Nurse Practitioner applicants, eligibility for licensure with the BC College of Nursing and Midwives (BCCNM), for Physician applicants Medical Degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia supplemented by medical leadership experience within a large health organization and a proven track-record in clinical practice. Demonstrated commitment to on-going learning and professional development.
