The Vancouver General Hospital is British Columbia’s major referral hospital providing tertiary and quaternary care to patients from both the local Vancouver area and those referred from across BC.
The VGH Division of Hematology offers a wide variety of Hematologic services including care of patients with hematologic malignant disease, thrombotic disorders, various cytopenias and other complex hematologic diagnoses.
We are seeking to hire a Hematologist with a focus on Thrombosis to join our General Hematology group in summer or fall of 2025.
Applicants must have completed Hematology training and be certified as a Hematologist by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Additional training in thrombosis (fellowship) and clinical experience in the field is essential. Leadership experience in thrombosis education and resident training would be a definite asset. The successful Candidate must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia
Academic appointment would be with the University of British Columbia Department of Medicine/Division of Hematology.
There is no salary support. Income will be solely based on Fee for Service earnings through MSP billings.
