As a Financial Analyst, you will perform accounting functions such as journal entry processing, account reconciliation, variance analysis, assisting with the preparation of financial and statistical reports, and supporting various ad hoc projects.
As a Financial Analyst (Accounting) with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
Perform reconciliations of various accounts by methods such as reviewing, extracting and interpreting information from the general ledger, determining reasons for discrepancies and providing explanation for significant variances/discrepancies. Prepare corrective journal entries to be reviewed by the Manager.
Assist with period end tasks including the preparation of journal entries and related reporting.
Prepare various ad hoc reports, financial schedules, as well as year-end working papers and supporting schedules for the auditors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Vancouver Coastal Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
