Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is looking for an Audiometric Technician to join the Audiology Clinic team in Squamish, BC. Apply today to join our team!

 

As an Audiometric Technician you will:

  • Conduct a variety of designated screening tests, assist with the provision of clinical audiology services and support the use of hearing equipment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Grade 12.
  • Two (2) years experience as an audiometric technician and experience working within a hearing screening program or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience in a related clinical setting.
  • Experience working with infants, children, adults and their families and experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Valid BC Drivers License. Local area travel requires the use of a personal vehicle for which mileage reimbursement will be paid.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
  • Ability to practice and deliver client and family centered care.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work in preschools, schools and community health care settings.
  • Physical ability and manual dexterity to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to type.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
