Come work as a Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Part-time or full-time position available in the beautiful Sea to Sky corridor to join a team of Psychiatrists at Vancouver Coastal Health Mental Health and Substance Use Services teams in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. Successful candidates will optimally live and play in the Sea to Sky corridor communities. Clinical services to include wide range of outpatient psychiatric consultative, short term and longitudinal services. Successful applicants will have experience and comfort in working with a wide range of psychiatric conditions including persistent and serious mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders, personality and substance use disorders. Opportunities are available to be more or less involved with child and youth populations, inpatient consult liaison work and addictions care, group psychotherapy and program development. Further opportunity to work at our local VCH ketamine infusion clinic for patients with treatment refractory depression.
Successful candidates will work collaboratively with well functioning interdisciplinary teams of psychiatric nurses, clinical counselors, occupational and vocational therapists, outreach workers and peer support workers. We are fortunate to work closely with a dedicated and diverse group of full-service family physicians and specialists. Successful candidate will be primarily fee for service and are eligible for rural incentive fees and sessional compensation for non-direct patient care time.
