Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Advisor to join the Safety Prevention team. Apply today to join our team!


As a Occupational Health & Safety Advisor with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:


  • Report to the Manager, Safety and Prevention, the Occupational Health & Safety Advisor acts as a resource providing consultation, research and support on Health & Safety issues for the Workplace Health Team and for managers, supervisors and staff.
  • Be responsible for collaborating with other Occupational Health & Safety Advisors in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of an authority wide Safety program.
  • Promote a safety culture to eliminate occupational injuries and illness.


Education & Experience

  • Graduation from a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or related field, from a recognized institution
  • Five (5) years’ professional Occupational Health & Safety experience in a unionized healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
