Come work as a Family Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for family physicians who are interested in providing primary care in a team based care environment that is enabled and supported by VCH. The Shellbridge Family Health Clinic will be located in Richmond East, adjacent to the new Urgent Care Center.  Our communal goal is to attach, ensure access and provide comprehensive medical care to patients living in the local community using the principles of the patient medical home (PMH). VCH is committed to doing this in a team-based model with family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, community support liaison workers, practice coaches and medical office assistants working together to support patients. As a family physician on this team, you will be providing the full spectrum of primary care/family medicine including prevention, basic prenatal care, maternity, acute illness, palliative care, chronic disease, and mental health and substance use, over the lifetime of the patient. The primary care clinic will be a place of learning for all medical disciplines, and we will use data from our Profile Intrahealth EMR to support best practices.

Our ideal candidate is someone who loves the broad perspective of a family physician, who wants to teach and learn, who is ready to be part of a dynamic, innovative team.

VCH primary care clinics actively foster a positive, respectful, and supportive working environment, and we are looking for someone who is positive, energetic, and empathic with strong communication skills and natural attention to detail. We support a healthy work-life balance and will focus on the professional development and satisfaction of its multidisciplinary team.
