Come work as an ILD Respirologist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

The Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) Division of Respiratory Medicine is seeking a Respirologist with specialized training and experience in Interstitial Lung Diseases.  The successful candidate will join two clinical/academic ILD specialists in an established, well-recognized, and busy program.

 

The position is primarily clinical.  Preference will be given to candidates with specific interest and expertise in medical education, clinical epidemiology and/or clinical research.  An interest in developing a clinical niche in sarcoidosis, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, lymphangioleieomyomatosis and other “orphan” lung diseases would be of value. The successful candidate will participate in the city-wide ILD group activities and collaborate with colleagues regionally and provincially.

 

The VGH Division of Respiratory Medicine is a diverse, dynamic and collegial group.  There will be an opportunity to participate in the rota for the VGH Respirology ward and consult service (negotiable), with associated expectation for clinical teaching for trainees rotating through the service.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC)- Full
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)- Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)- Mandatory
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- Desired
