Come work as an Infectious Disease Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

 

The Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is seeking a locum tenens Infectious Disease physician for all or part of a six-month block commencing January, 2024. There may be the possibility of extension beyond this time frame.

 

The successful candidate must have completed recognized specialty training and certification in Infectious Diseases (or the equivalent).  They must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC in Infectious Diseases. The successful candidate will join the other 12 members of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Vancouver General Hospital. Depending on the structure of the locum, this may include both inpatient and outpatient care responsibilities. They may also participate in the undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching activities of the Division and Department. The position will be based at Vancouver General Hospital and/or UBC Hospital.

 

This position will be a clinical appointment at Vancouver General Hospital within the Division of Infectious Diseases. Qualifications

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Mandatory
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full
