    Salary: $18.23 - $19.52 per hour
    Hours: 0930 - 1600, with rotating days off

    Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Community Health Worker to join the Sunshine Coast Home Support team (Pender Harbour Base Location). Apply today to join our team!


    As a Community Health Worker you will:

    • Assist clients to maintain their independence under direction of RN Supervisor.
    • Helps protect and restore individual and family functioning to maintain clients in their homes.
    • Performs duties in accordance with service policies and procedures and purchaser guidelines.


    Sunshine Coast Home Care Services provides home nursing care and rehabilitation services to seniors, people with disabilities, and convalescent individuals; access to adult day care and Long Term care; and information, education, and support for caregivers.

    Education & Experience

    • Grade 10 or educational equivalent recognized by the employer.
    • Must have a valid BC Driver's License.
    • Six months related experience with seniors, and/or disabled persons and children an asset.

    Knowledge & Abilities

    • Physical ability to carry out significant amounts of lifting, bending, stooping and stretching.
    • Ability to speak, write and understand written and oral English competently. 
    • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.

    The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
