The Role: Internal Medicine Physician

• 🩺 Join Our Team: Become an integral part of our team of three General Internists dedicated to providing high-quality care in the beautiful community of Powell River.
• 🏥 Diverse Clinical Practice: Engage in both office and hospital-based care. Hospital duties include ER and ward consults, along with managing a 4-bed ICU.
• 🚑 Critical Care and Coordination: Play a crucial role in stabilizing critically ill patients and coordinating their transfer to tertiary care centers.
• 📆 Balanced On-Call Schedule: Benefit from a manageable call requirement, with a rotation of 1 week every 3 weeks.
• 🌐 State-of-the-Art Facilities: Work out of a shared outpatient office equipped with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and supported by excellent Medical Office Assistants (MOAs).

RURAL RECRUITMENT INCENTIVES

• 💰 Recruitment Incentive Fund: $10,000 one-time payment, prorated for part-time work.
• 💸 Fee Premium: Additional 8.82% on MSP billings or service contracts.
• 🏦 Flat Fee: Annual $13,384.98 for eligible physicians.
• 🚚 Relocation Funding: Up to $15,000 based on relocation origin.
• 📚 RCME: $6,000 over 4 years for continuing medical education.
• 🩺 R-CMPA: Up to 50% refund of CMPA fees for eligible physicians.

Education, Licensing, & Experience:

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License – Full
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Mandatory
