The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at Vancouver Acute is searching for a full-time Anesthesiologist to join our team. With over 70 members, we are one of the largest anesthesia departments in Canada and provide all anesthesia care at Vancouver Acute’s two acute care hospitals, Vancouver General Hospital and University of British Columbia Hospital.
Members of the department are involved in all aspects of adult anesthesia sub-specialty care including perioperative medicine, intraoperative anesthesia care, critical care and pain management in an academic and quaternary care setting. Vancouver Acute is British Columbia’s provincial referral centre for a large number of surgical programs including; neurosurgery, cardiac surgery (including major aortic reconstruction), thoracic surgery, spine surgery, transplant surgery (liver, lung, kidney and pancreas), complex urological, gynecological and general oncology surgery, complex joint reconstruction and robotic surgery. Vancouver General Hospital is also a level 1 trauma centre.
Vancouver Acute is a core academic site of the Department of Anesthesiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of British Columbia.
